Creamed Chipped Beef - Breakaway Style

This is a quick recipe that will please everyone! Whether you wish to make a special breakfast or a quick dinner, this is perfect for any time of day!

Prep/ Cook Time: 20 min - Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 3 Slices Breakaway Farms Black Pepper Bacon

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 3 cups whole milk

  • 1 (4oz) pkg Breakaway Farms Sliced Dried Beef, cut into strips/ bite-sized pieces

  • Toast, Fried Potatoes or Biscuits of your choice

Directions

  • Chop strips of bacon into small bite-sized pieces

  • Cook bacon in a cast iron skillet, when cooked, add butter and melt

  • Stir in flour, and then add whole milk, slowly, whisking until flour is completely incorporated. Stir constantly until the sauce has thickened.

  • Stir in dried beef.

  • Spoon over toast, fried potatoes or biscuit halves.

  • The bacon and dried beef should provide enough salt and black pepper to properly season your gravy, however, salt and pepper can be added to taste if needed.

  • Serve warm and enjoy!
