  • 4 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 red chili, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • Sea salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 320°F.

  2. Using a sharp knife, score the pork belly skin. Once scored, rub sea salt & black pepper into the skin.

  3. Place the seasoned pork belly into a lightly oiled roasting pan. Place in the oven for 2 hours.

  4. Remove from the oven and transfer the roasting pan into the fridge for 1 hour. While the pork belly cools, mix the cider, honey, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili, and sugar in a medium-sized bowl. Then, slowly add in the flour.

  5. After 1 hour, remove the pork belly from the fridge. Pour the glaze over the pork belly and place back into the fridge for 1 more hour.

  6. Remove from the fridge and place the roasting pan into the oven (still at 320°F) for 30 minutes.

  7. In an oiled pan over medium heat, place the pork belly slices, skin side down. Fry each slice for a few minutes until crispy.

  8. Plate & enjoy!
